Baliwag Water District (BWD)'s stakeholders continue to increase as the years pass. Hence, as an aspirant world-class utility providing
excellent service while protecting the environment, BWD continues to upgrade its facilities and increase its resources to cater to its
increasing number of stakeholders.
In this regard, BWD inaugurated three new facilities last July 01, 2022, as it celebrates its 33rd Founding Anniversary.
These include the 500 cubic meter-capacity glass fused, steel bolted tank with booster pump in Barangay San Roque, the 28th pumping station
of BWD in Waterwood, Barangay Pagala with the capacity of 10 liters per second and was constructed at the donated 90 square meter lot by Landco Pacific Corporation,
and the upgrade of the septage treatment plant in Barangay San Roque.
The new storage tank in San Roque and the new pumping station in Barangay Pagala are expected to aid in providing water service
especially during peak hours to identified low-pressure areas namely Hinukay, Piel, Barangka, Tilapayong, Catulinan, and Sulivan.
Meanwhile, the upgrade of the septage treatment plant aims to meet the new Waste Water Quality Guidelines and General Effluent Standard of 2016
(DAO 2016-08 as amended by 2021-09).
The anniversary celebration and inauguration of facilities were graced by Mayor Ferdinand Estrella, Officer-in-Charge of Local Water Utilities Administration Eileen Dela Vega, Civil Service
Commision Regional Director Fernando Mendoza, Department of Public Works and Highways Bulacan 1st District Henry Alcantara, BWD's Board of Directors, Top Management,
Former General Manager, and other stakeholders.
